Lenten Journey

I have decided for this Lenten season to give up FB. There is no need for the entire word to be written out for the simple reason that in this year 2012 we all know that FB means...dare I say it? Ok. I will. FACEBOOK. I have to say day two has been easier then I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong I do feel a bit disconnected from my friends and their lives. I have to say I am guilty of wondering what everyone is up to, reading, scoping out, stalking pictures for hours and sometimes of people I don't even know and yes even guilty of wondering what destruction is taking place by so and so's fingers. However, there is also a sense of calm that I have. For the last 48 hours I know that there is not a single person that I may have offended by what I have posted and that is a great feeling. I have also found this desire to be closer to my children and to talk with God just a tad bit more then I was doing before. This Lenten season I welcome all of the trials and tribulations but mostly I welcome the peace that will come from turning off the noise and turning on the silence.
